National Tidy Towns Award Announcements 2025 – Gold for Wexford!

October 24 2025.
Three of our team travelled to Croke Park today for the announcement of the National Tidy Towns Awards for 2025.
We were overjoyed to hear the announcement that we had once again won Gold! This marks the fifth year in succession for which we have been awarded the Gold Medal. We are so grateful to have such a committed and hard-working team of volunteers, the many local people who keep their own estates clean and attractive, and to the many local businesses who take great care in keeping the areas outside their premises litter free and tidy.
Our overall score in the marking system was 393, over 8 Categories. This was just 7 points behind the overall National Winner, Carrick-on-Shannon, to whom we extend our warm congratulations!
Our score was 18 points higher than in 2024, and significantly, our points in each of the 8 scoring categories was higher than in 2024, the second year in a row in which this has been achieved. This indicates to us that we are not only maintaining our impact on keeping our Town looking good, but, with everyone’s help, improving on it’s attractiveness each year.

This is our 5th Gold Medal, having first achieved Gold in 2021. We will continue our push for excellence for 2026 and beyond!

Chairperson, Wexford Tidy Towns
